Hey friends!  Today's feature is the new release, Craft a Flower (CAF), Cosmo's  It was fun to get my Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine out again.  I absolutely think its the cutest little die cutting machine, and  it looks great on my desk.

You should have arrived from Emily's Blog.

Picture
To create my card, I die cut several pieces of the flowers and sprigs out of Watercolor Paper. I colored them using my Watercolor Brush Markers, Spring Garden Set. Once I had pieces I liked, I layered them together, tucking pieces here and there to give my card some dimension.
Picture
To create my card panel, I used Layered Medallion B Stencil, Cloudy Sky Ink and an Ink Blending Tool. I used a watercolor brush to flick ink splats randomly.  I know I am obsessed with ink splats. There's something therapeutic about it for me.
Picture
To finish, I adhered the flowers and sprigs to my panel, (I matted the panel on a piece of cardstock I made dragging the ink pad on the edges of the cardstock, to make the perfect coordinating color layer). I am in love with the artsy organic feel of this card,

What a pretty card. I like that the background is almost more of a hint. It makes the card that much more interesting. The colors are intriguing and the ink drag on the matting layer gave you just the right color. Thanks for the great ideas.

I really liked your spatters - you can never have enough spatters though I’m scared to try them myself. I was really impressed with the softness of this card and how you reminded us of the dragging technique to make cardstock colors for our perfect backings. I think you did an excellent job of using the watercolor brushes for the dark, rich color of blue to go wit our more misty ink choice. It’s a beautifully done card.
